Just a small comment about tonight's debate

I'm not really surprised that Mitt raised the point that the price of gasoline was in the neighborhood of $1.86 a gallon when Obama took office.  Obama replied that oil prices were so low at that time because we were entering a big recession.  What surprised me, though, was that he didn't mention that the price was over $4 a gallon in the summer of 2007.  Of course, people's memories aren't so great these days, as there are apparently a lot of people who thought the price of oil was $149 a barrel when gasoline was $1.86, so perhaps it wouldn't have been worth the effort to bring that up.  Sometimes too many actual facts only serve to confuse people.
